Context:

REACh is the new EU regulation concerning the Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and restriction of Chemicals, and came into force on June 1st 2007.
It applies to substances manufactured or imported into the EU in quantities of 1 tonne per year or more. In general REACh applies to all chemical substances on their own or in preparations. Substances used solely in plant protection products or biocidal products and registered in Annex I of Directive 91/414/EEC or Directive 98/8/EC as well as ELINCS substances are regarded as already registered. However, if a chemical is used in plant protection products or biocidal products and has other industrial applications, REACh still applies.

At your request, A.S.C. can:

• carry out your product inventory for registration in order to identify the special requirements for each substance (Registration, Notification, Authorisation, use restrictions).


• identify all uses and evaluate exposures using recommended models and scenarios.


• prepare the Registration Dossier according to the substance tonnage, which includes:
• a technical dossier compiling all required data (after evaluation) in a database via IUCLID5 software,


• a Chemical Safety Report (CSR) including risk assessments for Human Health and the Environment according to the uses and to the appropriate models (EASE, ConsExpo, EUSES, ECETOC TRA, aso...)


• represent your company within exchange forums (SIEF)


• monitor Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) studies (physical-chemistry, environment, toxicology and ecotoxicology) to be generated with contracted Laboratories,


• write or revise the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) according to the new requirements,


• carry out preliminary PBT (Persistent Bioaccumulative and Toxic), vPvB (very Persistent and very Bioaccumulative), and CMR evaluations,


• prepare the classification and labelling according to the Globally Harmonised System (GHS),


• Contacts the Authorities to answer to a specific problem or a particular situation.
