Biocidal products. You have until December 31st to report the quantity placed on the French market in 2010

As of July 2010, each registrant has to report to the Ministry of Environment (MEDDTL) the annual quantity (in tonnage or volume) of biocidal products placed on the French market before 1st April of the following year.
For the first year, exceptionally, you have until December 31st, 2011, via the biocides inventory, the quantity placed on the market in 2010. We can of course help you in this process. Please feel free to contact us.

The directives of inclusion of the following active substances are published:
The date of inclusion is 01/10/2013.

• Commission Directive 2011/78/EU of 20 September 2011 amending Directive 98/8/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council to include Bacillus thuringiensis subsp. israelensis Serotype H14, Strain AM65-52 as an active substance in Annex I thereto (Product Type 18)
• Commission Directive 2011/81/EU of 20 September 2011 amending Directive 98/8/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council to include deltamethrin as an active substance in Annex I thereto (Product Type 18)
• Commission Directive 2011/79/EU of 20 September 2011 amending Directive 98/8/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council to include fipronil as an active substance in Annex I thereto (Product Type 18)
• Commission Directive 2011/80/EU of 20 September 2011 amending Directive 98/8/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council to include lambda-cyhalothrin as an active substance in Annex I thereto (Product Type 18)

Inventaire biocide

A.S.C. implemented the electronic certificate needed for on-line declaration of biocidal products on the French MEDDTL website. All new products must be declared before being placed on the market.

Note from French MEEDDAT – 27/02/2009

Since 04/05/2009, it is no longer possible to declare products whose use is subject to authorisation in France during the transitional period and for which no authorisation dossier was submitted to the competent French authorities.
The MEDDTL declaration of such products must be corrected before the 04/05/2009 in order to:

• Remove the uses that require authorisation if the company responsible for placing the product on the market do not possess such an authorisation;
• Add data concerning authorisation if necessary.
